Cultivar Notes -
Sargent (‘Tina’)
This dwarf spreading crab has attractive lobed, dark green foliage. Fragrant, 3/4" to 1" diameter flowers are red in bud and open to white. The small bright red fruits are favored by birds.
Series Notes -
RightRoot®
Ornamental crabapples are truly trouble free garden trees when grown on RightRoot® crabapple rootstock. Proven to be the best all-around performer in multi-year trials, this time-tested clonal understock virtually eliminates suckering. In addition to having the lowest number of basal suckers in field tests, trees grown on RightRoot® understocks have better anchorage and vigorous growth rate.

Other benefits of this improved understock include: extremely cold hardy to -30° F, growth rate is close to that of Domestic understock, resists collar rot, does not develop burr knot, adapts well to various soil types including dry or wet sites.
