Mariesii
Interesting balloon-like buds burst open into splendid violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers. ‘Mariesii’ is a very reliable bloomer that is pest and disease free.
Genus Notes -
Platycodon
Balloon Flowers get their name from their flower buds, which inflate like balloons before splitting into large, bell-shaped blooms. Flowering begins in midsummer, with occassional repeat bloom until fall. Plants are hardy, adaptable and easy to grow. Plant in well-drained soil.
