Tips for Efficient Printing
Before proceeding:
  • To print more columns on a single page, print the report in Landscape mode. To do this, change your printer's 'Orientation' to Landscape in your browser's Printer Settings dialog box.
  • Hide unneeded columns (to reduce print output width) by unchecking column names in the 'View Preferences' box at the bottom of this screen. If this screen is currently in the 'Plant Images Only' view, you must first click the 'Display In List Format' checkbox before you can hide the columns you do not want to print. Your print output will match whatever you are viewing here.

6. Humdinger® Gold Drop
Click to display
This new addition to the HUMDINGER® Collection shares the same compact habit and shorter stature as the other members. Purple flower panicles are produced all over the dense habit of gold foliage. ‘Gold Drop’ replaces ‘Little Nugget’ in our catalog, having more golden foliage, a more compact habit, and better floral performance than its predecessor.
9C-S8" TC 30"-36"42"-48"5-10

7. Humdinger® Orchid Annie
Click to display
Totally unlike the tall and leggy Buddleia of the past, ‘Orchid Annie’ maintains a compact, refined habit. 8” orchid purple flower panicles appear above a perfect rounded shrub a few weeks sooner than you would expect for a Butterfly Bush. Although the best blooming power is in its initial bloom, this beauty will bloom on shorter secondary panicles well into early fall.
9C-S8" TC 30"-36"42"-48"5-10

8. Lavender Cascade
Click to display
If you're familiar with ‘Wisteria Lane’ on the market, this Buddleia has a similar interesting look, but with better defined flowers and more intense color. Soft lavender purple flower panicles are approximately 8-10" long and 3" wide and cascade down the habit like a waterfall. Compared to ‘Grand Cascade’, this Buddleia is smaller both in overall habit and individual flower panicle size.
9C-S8" TC 5'6"-6'6'6"-7'5-10

9. Lilac Cascade
Click to display
Just like the others of the Cascade series, the habit of this Butterfly Bush has panicles that cascade downward like a waterfall. 12-18" huge, puffy panicles of pale lilac flowers. The size of the flowers match that of ‘Grand Cascade’, but with a lighter shade of purple and shorter stature. Perfect as a centerpiece in your garden. Through 4 years of monitoring for sterility we have not observed seed set - a stand out trait among Buddleia.
9C-S8" TC 5'-5'6"6'5-10

10. Lo & Behold® Blue Chip, Jr.
Click to display
Young Junior is smaller than the original, less brittle, and has attractive silver-green leaves. Great for mass plantings, containers or mixed into perennial gardens. It flowers from mid-summer to frost.

The earliest blooming of the Lo & Behold® series.

11. Lo & Behold® Purple Haze
Click to display
Uniquely horizontal branches produce an abundance of dark purple-blue flowers. The flowers radiate outward and downward like a pinwheel, and are continuous from mid summer to frost. This is a sterile variety that will not produce unwanted seedlings.
9C-SPWCC #3  24"-36"36"-48"5-9

12. Miss Molly
Click to display
This new hybrid from NCSU plant breeder Dennis Werner takes Buddleia ‘Miss Ruby’ a step closer to the elusive red by crossing it back onto Buddleia ‘Attraction’. The sangria-red flowers top the compact 5’ tall clump from July until frost...a treat for hummingbirds.
9C-SPWCC #3 48"-5'5'-6'5-9

13. Miss Ruby
Click to display
Miss Ruby is a sweetheart of a plant noted for its compact habit and remarkable vivid, rich pink blooms. The flower color is unlike any other Buddleia. This new butterfly bush has silver leaves, and has a compact growth habit.
9C-SPWCC #3 48"-5'36"-48"5

14. Miss Violet
Click to display
Rich purple blooms on a compact plant. If you love the compact habit of ‘Miss Ruby’ and ‘Miss Molly’ you're sure to love ‘Miss Violet’, too. She has all these great attributes plus loads of dark purple-violet flowers. It's another great butterfly bush from Dr. Dennis Werner of NCSU.

15. Monarch® Blue Knight
Click to display
‘Blue Knight’ forms a dense clump of minty green leaves. Incredibly long, 10-12”, outward-facing flower panicles open light lavender purple and deepen to blue-purple with age. The new and the aged flowers appear on the panicles at the same time, giving the flower an interesting two-tone effect. This plant has incredible flower coverage, giving you quite the performance when it starts its first flush of blooms in late summer.
9C-S8" TC 42"-48"6'-6'6"5-10

16. Monarch® Dark Dynasty
Click to display
This compact new Buddleia fits easily into urban gardens with its densely compact, rounded habit. Unlike some other dwarf Buddleias that become very wide spreading, ‘Dark Dynasty’ keeps its composure as it ages, growing just 3’ tall and 3 ½’ wide in two years.

Rich royal purple, fragrant flowers are borne on branched panicles from late summer into early fall, just in time to feed the migrating Monarchs passing through.

9C-S8" TC 32"-36"36"-42"5-10

17. Monarch® Glass Slippers
Click to display
Like a cool drink of water on a hot summer day, the silvery green foliage and icy toned flowers of this new Buddleia from the Walters Gardens, Inc. breeding program offers an oasis in sunny landscapes.

‘Glass Slippers’ forms a relatively low, wide spreading, tightly knit cushion topped with pale periwinkle blue blossoms held on silvery, branched stems from late summer into early fall. Secondary flowers extend the show further into fall.

9C-S8" TC 36"-38"5'4"-5'8"5-10

18. Monarch® Prince Charming
Click to display
The newest addition to the popular MONARCH® Butterfly Bush collection! ‘Prince Charming’ is truly a color break for the Buddleia genus. 10” long flower spikes will stun you with their bright cerise pink color. Compared to ‘Queen of Hearts’, ‘Prince Charming’ is closer to raspberry pink than purple. In mid to late summer, its upright, gumdrop shaped habit is covered with intensely colored flowers and blooms for many weeks.

9C-S8" TC 42"-48"42"-48"5-10

19. Pink Cascade
Click to display
This beautifully unique Butterfly Bush has an arching, weeping look versus the normal upright habit. Light apple blossom pink flower panicles are 8-10" long. Minty green leaves, in combination with the flowers, give it overall cool tones. ‘Pink Cascade’ is a good match to ‘Lavender Cascade’ in size and shape. Use as a focal piece in your garden or in the landscape.
