Tips for Efficient Printing
Before proceeding:
  • To print more columns on a single page, print the report in Landscape mode. To do this, change your printer's 'Orientation' to Landscape in your browser's Printer Settings dialog box.
  • Hide unneeded columns (to reduce print output width) by unchecking column names in the 'View Preferences' box at the bottom of this screen. If this screen is currently in the 'Plant Images Only' view, you must first click the 'Display In List Format' checkbox before you can hide the columns you do not want to print. Your print output will match whatever you are viewing here.

3. Green Gold
Like jewelry for the garden, the beautiful ‘Green Gold’ Brunnera emerges in spring with brilliant chartreuse yellow foliage that absolutely glows in the shade garden. Sprays of tiny baby blue, forget-me-not type flowers float above the radiant foliage in mid to late spring.

As the summer sets in, the leaves grow more broadly heart-shaped and turn green, remaining that way for the rest of the season. Consider replacing the standard green Brunnera macrophylla for this more colorful variety that offers a bit of bling in spring.

4. Hadspen Cream
Light green leaves with wide, irregular, creamy yellow margins characterizes this variety of Brunnera. Though somewhat hard to find in garden centers, this plant is worth searching for. 5. Jack Frost
'Jack Frost' Brunnera is one of the most arresting silvers for shade. Its leaves, painted with an overlay of metallic silver, are finely etched with green veining that matches the narrow band running along the edge.   Click to display 'Jack Frost' tag image 12"-12" 15"-18" 3-7 10" Black
6. King's Ransom
'King's Ransom' PPAF displays a wide, creamy yellow margin and light cream frosting over the remainder of the silver leaves. After the dainty blue forget-me-not type flowers are produced in spring, the margins lighten to creamy white.

This plant has a slightly smaller habit than 'Jack Frost', making it just the right size to tuck into combination containers.

10. Sea Heart
Far and away the most colorful Brunnera yet, 'Sea Heart' is a changing delight in the partly to fully shaded border or container. 11. Silver Heart

This is a choice collector’s plant, but an easy-to-grow perennial that performs well in all but the driest of shady conditions. Excellent for the woodland garden. Provided there is sufficient moisture, plants can tolerate full sun; as the leaves are so thick, little or no scorching occurs. Bred by Spitsbergen-Willemsen of the Netherlands.   Click to display 'Silver Heart' tag image 6"-12" 12"-23" 4-9 10" Black
