Tips for Efficient Printing
Before proceeding:
  • To print more columns on a single page, print the report in Landscape mode. To do this, change your printer's 'Orientation' to Landscape in your browser's Printer Settings dialog box.
  • Hide unneeded columns (to reduce print output width) by unchecking column names in the 'View Preferences' box at the bottom of this screen. If this screen is currently in the 'Plant Images Only' view, you must first click the 'Display In List Format' checkbox before you can hide the columns you do not want to print. Your print output will match whatever you are viewing here.

Spring Summer Autumn
Sage (Common) Salvia officinalis
1. Berggarten
Cooks and gardeners alike are indebted to this evergreen perennial for the unique, pungent flavor and aroma that its gray-green leaves produce. S. 'Berggarten' is more compact than the species, forming a 2' tall by 3' wide bush with woody stems that may be trimmed back to newly emerging growth or strong stems in spring. In early to mid-summer, it sends up purple flower spikes. It boasts attractively rounded leaves and, like the species, has both ornamental and culinary qualities in an herb garden. It tolerates alkaline soils, but not wet winter conditions. 8D-North Click to display 'Berggarten' tag image 15"-18" 15"-20" 5-9 4˝" White
2. Common (Garden) Sage
Aromatic foliage and blue flower spikes make a show addition to the herb or flower garden. Fresh or dried leaves add flavor to sausage, stuffing, salad and soup. Attractive in arrangements, fresh or dried. Can be grown indoors in winter. 8D-North Click to display 'Common (Garden) Sage' tag image 18"-24" 18" 4-8 4" Green
