Cultivar Notes - 'Plum Crazy'
Dinner plate sized blooms up to 10" across sit atop robust, shrub-like plants from mid to late summer. Each successive spring will bring larger flowers. 'Plum Crazy' blooms are an unusual shade of lavender-plum with purple veining.
Genus Notes - Hibiscus
Hardy hibiscus form large bushy plants. They bloom mid- to late-summer and have absolutely huge, glorious crepe paper-like flowers. They grow best in full sun in moist soil. Hibiscus are very late to break dormancy and need temperatures above 50°F before growth will appear.
