Cultivar Notes - 'Gold Bar'
'Gold Bar' is our most diminutive Miscanthus, seldom taller than 3'. Upright and slow-growing, it's content in its assigned space for years. The variegation is extraordinary: 'Gold Bar' has more gold bars than Fort Knox. Each blade is so heavily crosshatched, it's almost gold with green highlights. In containers, alone or mixed, it really shines.
Series Notes - Warm Season Grasses
Warm season grasses grow most actively during the warmer months, then flower in late summer or fall. Most go completely dormant in winter. Warm season grasses include: Andropogon, Calamagrostis brachytricha, Carex, Cortaderia, Erianthus, Hakonechloa, Miscanthus, Panicum, Pennisetum, Schizachyrium, and Sporobolus.
Genus Notes - Miscanthus
These large Grasses add texture to fresh and dried arrangements. All have winter beauty to equal their summer charm, and they are not the least bit picky about soil.
