Cultivar Notes -

Longin

Airy spires of lavender-blue flowers look great against handsome silvery foliage. Lends a light, airy appearance to the garden. ‘Longin’ also tends to have a narrower and more upright habit than others in this species.

Genus Notes -

Perovskia

Perovskia offer aromatic gray foliage and plentiful spikes of long-lasting, lavender-blue flowers from mid- to late-summer. This genus has significant benefits, including heat and drought tolerance, and deer and rabbit resistance, and is a pollinator magnet. Perovskia is also now referred to as Salvia yangii.

They should be cut back severely in spring. They need well drained soil and tolerate drought.
