Shadow King® Green-Pink Tips

Begonia ‘Shadow King Green-pink Tips’ is a member of the Shadow King Rex begonia series, which is suited for shady areas and can be grown as indoor, patio and outdoor plants.

All of the Shadow King varieties are designed to provide excellent color for shady locations, and ‘Shadow King Green-pink Tips’ has gorgeous multi-colored pink, green and white foliage in a unique and eye-catching pattern.

Along with the others in the series, Green-pink Tips has a significantly more compact habit and great rosette branching.

Species Notes -

Begonia rex

Fantastic leaf forms and colors characterize the Rex begonia. Suitable as a houseplant, they also shine as a container accent or bedding plant in shady locations. Preferring full shade, they will also tolerate some indirect sun which serves to deepen the red and purple tones. Thrives in summer heat.

The native environment of Rex is typically high humidity and low light, but do not overwater. Allow to dry down somewhat between watering and maintain temperatures between 60-70 degrees F. Although a slow grower with specific requirements, Begonia Rex is a beautiful, long-lived specimen, well worth the extra effort.
