ATTRIBUTES

Cultivar Notes -

Dolce® Brazen Raisin

Add a dramatic splash of dark purplish black foliage to your combination containers and landscapes with the new Brazen Raisin™. Medium to large size, flat, matte textured leaves with wine red undersides form a dense mound.

In midsummer, deep red scapes carry showy panicles of hot pink buds which open to pale pink to white flowers with a hot pink base. From a distance, the flowers appear like a light pink cloud floating above the nicely contrasting dark foliage. This plant occasionally reblooms into fall.

Series Notes -

Dolce®

Dolce® Heuchera are moderate-sized Coral Bells with textured and vividly-colored foliage that deepens and becomes more intense in the cool temperatures of fall. Varieties hold their bright spring foliage color, maintaining interest all season long. ’Silver Gumdrop’ and ’Spearmint’ both have excellent flower scapes in shades of pink or red; stalks are rigid and upright for a refined appearance. For beds, containers, and landscapes nothing is sweeter than Dolce.

Genus Notes -

Heuchera

Heuchera are clumping perennials with very colorful foliage and exquisite spikes of small bell-shaped flowers. Recent breeding efforts have added many new color variations to this genus. All grow well in partial shade and well-drained soil, and they tolerate more sun with sufficient moisture.

With their great vigor, verstility and unique foliage colors that intensify in cool weather, Heucheras bring magnificent contrast and texture to mixed containers and the landscape. They are very durable, despite their delicate, even dainty appearance.
