Cultivar Notes - 'SuperbenaŽ Sparkling Ruby'
Sitting pretty in pink, SuperbenaŽ Sparkling Ruby bears a plethora of large clusters of light pink blossoms kissed with ruby red centers all summer without deadheading. The flowers completely cover the canopy of dark green, powdery mildew-resistant foliage. SuperbenaŽ Sparkling Ruby is easy to mix with other colorful annuals in combination containers and hanging baskets.
Series Notes - SuperbenaŽ
Super large flowers, strong growth, and mildew resistance are Superbena's specialties. This tremendously improved Verbena is like nothing you've ever seen. Superbena has a fantastic range of knock-out colors and an upright trailing/cascading habit.

Superbena are our most vigorous, heat tolerant, and mildew tolerant series. While always great in containers they are also fantastic in landscape beds. They can tolerate dry soils and lower fertility. Normally either an application of slow release fertilizer or amending with compost is enough to keep them happy and blooming in landscape beds. They shouldn't need to be trimmed back but can be given a "haircut" - a trim back - using a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears at any time. While naturally well branched, trimming them back will encourage additional branching, fuller plants, and ultimately more flowers.

Genus Notes - Verbena
Familiar to many gardeners as annuals, Verbenas also include several outstanding perennials for mild-winter climates. Colorful and carefree, they flower even in extreme heat and humidity.
