Cultivar Notes -
T REX™ Painter’s Palette
Wide, multi-colored leaves painted with black, white, red, and green make this a standout foliage plant for shady container plantings. It grows to 16" high and 16" wide.
Series Notes -
T REX™
When is a Rex not a Rex? When it’s a T REX™! Terra Nova Nurseries’ breeders have taken some good forms and bred in new species which look like a Rex, but feel different and even grow differently! Strong, thick leaves adorn vigorous plants that can be grown in cooler temperatures that would "slay" most Rexes. Each variety has an upright habit and features silken, shimmering leaves with stunning, saturated color. Absolutely the best the market has to offer. Heat and humidity tolerant.
Species Notes -
Begonia rex
Fantastic leaf forms and colors characterize the Rex begonia. Suitable as a houseplant, they also shine as a container accent or bedding plant in shady locations. Preferring full shade, they will also tolerate some indirect sun which serves to deepen the red and purple tones. Thrives in summer heat.

The native environment of Rex is typically high humidity and low light, but do not overwater. Allow to dry down somewhat between watering and maintain temperatures between 60-70 degrees F. Although a slow grower with specific requirements, Begonia Rex is a beautiful, long-lived specimen, well worth the extra effort.
