Cultivar Notes - 'Banja Luka'
This sport of the famous Darwin Hybrid Tulip, 'Golden Apeldoorn', carries golden blooms feathered with bright red. It would take a big, bold Tulip to have the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina as its namesake. Like many larger Tulips, it looks best when planted in groups for an astonishing midseason display.
Genus Notes - Tulipa
Tulips are one of the easiest bulbs to grow. Just plant bulbs in the fall in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade for great color the following spring. Exposure to full sun will bring out the rich colors that tulips offer, but some shade will enable a longer blooming period and still offer a colorful addition to your yard or garden.
