Cultivar Notes - 'Bleu Aimable'
The Blue Aimable Tulip has a unique violet-lilac combination. The blue hue is most noticeable from the outer bases of the petals. These tulips create a long lasting border. Single late or Mayflowering tulips are some of the tallest tulips and oval egg shaped flowers are the last to bloom. They are good cut flowers, and for beds and borders.
Genus Notes - Tulipa
Tulips are one of the easiest bulbs to grow. Just plant bulbs in the fall in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade for great color the following spring. Exposure to full sun will bring out the rich colors that tulips offer, but some shade will enable a longer blooming period and still offer a colorful addition to your yard or garden.
