Cultivar Notes -

Carefree Delight™

Here is a delightful shrub rose that is very free flowering with vivid pink blooms. Deep green, glossy leaves with rich maroon fall color and lots of rose hips in the fall, makes this rose one of the most popular and widely grown landscape shrub roses.

Series Notes -

Shrub Rose

Shrub roses offer a variety of landscape uses and are not only colorful, but easy to maintain as well. They have become a favorite among homeowners. Blooming from spring until frost, these disease resistant shrub roses become more popular each year.

Genus Notes -

Rosa

The signature genus Rosa of the Rosaceae family was classified by Linnaeus in the 18th century and today contains over one hundred species, all originating in the Northern Hemisphere. From the wild species there have evolved thousands of hybrids and forms with many branches in the ancestral tree. Roses are among the most ancient ornamentals in cultivation. Today’s repeat blooming roses derive their remontant characteristics from the China tea roses and hybrid perpetuals.
