ATTRIBUTES ![]() ![]() Cultivar Notes - Pink Traviata This new Hybrid Tea Romantica is a mutation of the popular variety Traviata. Like its parent, it is one of the most disease resistant modern roses, as good if not better than most landscape shrub roses. Series Notes - Romantica® Romantica® Roses all have fragrant, old-fashioned blooms yet also possess modern-day characteristics which cater to the novice as well as the advanced gardener. Many of these varieties were bred in the South of France by Meilland International. Their improved disease resistance and garden performance make them a wonderful addition to the modern landscape. Genus Notes - Rosa The signature genus Rosa of the Rosaceae family was classified by Linnaeus in the 18th century and today contains over one hundred species, all originating in the Northern Hemisphere. From the wild species there have evolved thousands of hybrids and forms with many branches in the ancestral tree. Roses are among the most ancient ornamentals in cultivation. Today’s repeat blooming roses derive their remontant characteristics from the China tea roses and hybrid perpetuals. |
