ATTRIBUTES
Cultivar Notes -
Atropurpurea
Interesting, tall selection whose foliage emerges green in spring and soon turns purple. Fragrant, creamy white, bottle brush-like flowers that repel insects are an added bonus. Attractive green seedpods form after blooms fade.
Genus Notes -
Cimicifuga
Large, upright perennial for late-summer bloom. Long bottlebrush-like flowers are fragrant and form attractive seedpods. Plants prefer moist soil and semi-shade. Will tolerate more sun if adequate moisture is supplied. Use in the moist perennial or woodland garden.
