Cultivar Notes -
Phyllis Smith
This is a seldom offered British selection, featuring single flowers with very finely-cut or fringed petals surrounding a yellow center. Excellent for cutting. Removing faded flowers will greatly increase the blooming time.
Genus Notes -
Leucanthemum
Shasta Daisies (formerly known botanically as Chrysanthemum x superbum) are grown for the masses of pristine Daisies they produce. They are an almost limitless source of cut flowers. Leucanthemum are wonderful summer-blooming perennials with large daisy flowers. They prefer well-drained soil in the sunny border. Deadhead to encourage continuous bloom.
