‘Black Pearls’ has the darkest foliage of all Astilbes. Mid-late, fantastic new color! large flower plumes are purple with a hint of blue and the foliage is dark green, stems are sturdy and won't flop over. Finely cut foliage is very heat tolerant and will tolerate part sun to shade.

Displaying large, soft pink plumes of florets on gracefully arching stems, this astilbe is a gorgeous ornamental perennial for any shady site in the landscape. It effectively adds color and light to wooded sites, shadowed borders and summertime containers. As an added bonus, the green, fernlike foliage provides a wonderful contrast to the soft pink flower heads. Easy to grow and maintain, too.

Spikes of graceful red plumes, mostly erect but some arching, on medium green foliage. Prefers a rich and moist soil in a shady location. Flowers are effective in dried arrangements.

Though the foliage is full and robust like others in the Visions series, it is not as coarsely textured. Rather, the green leaves are smooth and glossy. Foliage and flower combine in an elegantly refined display in the landscape.

Dense yet fluffy plumes of glowing reddish-pink flowers on upright, sturdy stems over glossy foliage from mid-summer into fall. Heavily serrated leaves emerge dark maroon and mature to dark green, very floriferous and easy grower.
