ATTRIBUTES

Cultivar Notes -

Black Lace®

Intense purple black foliage is finely cut, giving it an effect similar to that of Japanese maple. Indeed, some designers are using it in place of the more sensitive acer varieties since BLACK LACE is extremely durable and adaptable.

Genus Notes -

Sambucus

Sambucus can be a fantastic ornamental garden plant. This is a bold plant with vigorous growth. Most people find that treating it as a perennial and cutting it back hard each fall makes for a neat and beautiful plant. North America native.
