Cultivar Notes -
New Moon
Globeflowers are extremely popular perennials, bursting into color in late spring and early summer. This selection has large, creamy-yellow double flowers on strong upright stems and a nice compact habit. Good vigor. Sometimes called Buttercups, these grow well in a sunny or part-shaded border, also at the edge of a moist woodland. Flowers will last a few days when cut.
Genus Notes -
Trollius
Moisture-loving Trollius bear cheerful, butterfup-like blooms on tall, branching stems in late spring. Their lush clumps of divided, deep-green foliage remain handsome after the flowers fade. These plants fair poorly in dry soil and extreme heat.
