Shiny, glossy, triangular, dark green leaves, usualy about 12, flecked with pale green spots, with triangular teeth on the margins. The flowerheads may be seen anytime of the year, single tubular clusters of pale pink to coral. Sap of the leaves may be used to treat mild burns or sunburns.
