Tips for Efficient Printing
Before proceeding:
  • To print more columns on a single page, print the report in Landscape mode. To do this, change your printer's 'Orientation' to Landscape in your browser's Printer Settings dialog box.
  • Hide unneeded columns (to reduce print output width) by unchecking column names in the 'View Preferences' box at the bottom of this screen. If this screen is currently in the 'Plant Images Only' view, you must first click the 'Display In List Format' checkbox before you can hide the columns you do not want to print. Your print output will match whatever you are viewing here.

CatmintNepeta faassenii
1. Cat’s Meow
Click to display
Truly the “cat’s meow”, the best Nepeta we’ve seen yet! Unlike most Nepetas that have a bit of a wild, unkempt look, this first class selection keeps its tidy, dense, rounded shape all season long.

Its small, grey-green, aromatic leaves are topped with well-branched stems carrying spikes of sky blue flowers with purple calyxes from early summer into early fall.

‘Cat’s Meow’ has everything today’s gardeners are looking for: a low maintenance, drought tolerant, deer resistant, long blooming perennial that looks great all season.

2. Walker’s Low
Click to display
Gray-green, aromatic foliage gives way to a plethora of soft lavender-blue flowers which are produced over a long period in summer. Although the stems are 2-3’ long, the plant's arching habit brings the height down to 18 to 24 inches if it is not staked.

3. Whispurr™ Blue
Click to display
This selection, part of the Whispurr™ Series, features small light purple flowers that are densely clustered to form large plumes, blooming from May to September. Very popular with pollinators. The leaves are highly aromatic when crushed or bruised so an excellent addition planted along a garden path.

 Nepeta grandiflora
4. Summer Magic
Click to display
Summer Magic is a new, extremely free-flowering grandiflora variety from the UK that blooms continuously from May to September. Grass green leaves and a great deep lavender flower color make for a great garden combination. This new catmint is compact and sturdy and never flops, even in the worst rain storms. You won't attract cats with this selection either. Compared to ‘Walker's Low’ and ‘Six Hills Giant’, Summer Magic has a much sturdier habit and never goes through that ugly mid summer phase. Awards: Shortlisted for the New Plant Award at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2013.

It features blue-green leaves that are highly aromatic when crushed or bruised so an excellent addition planted along a garden path. Small pale lavender flowers are densely clustered and bloom from May to September. Shear back the initial flower spikes for continuous bloom. Attractive to our feline friends.
