ATTRIBUTES
Cultivar Notes -
Soapwort
Saponaria is a sprawling plant which forms a nice carpet of semi-evergreen foliage. Small sprays of pink flowers appear in early summer. It works well in a rock garden, as a groundcover, or between stepping stones on a path.
Genus Notes -
Saponaria
Most Soapworts are low-growing plants that bloom with enthusiasm and for a long time. They need well-drained soil and sun, and if these conditions are provided, will produce an abundance of pink or white, five-petaled flowers in summer.
