Cultivar Notes - 'Beatlemania'
The long leaves of this new selection cascade to the ground, giving the clump a mop head appearance which is similar to the style sported by the Beatles. The soft green, finely textured leaves have very wide, creamy yellow edges.
Genus Notes - Carex
Carexes are Sedges, not Grasses, but for the gardener, the distinction is moot. They vary widely in size, habit, and foliage color. Many are prized for their architectural quality. All tolerate shade, which makes them especially useful. Sedges tend to grow more like warm season grasses.
