ATTRIBUTES       Cultivar Notes - Desdemona The most striking feature of ‘Desdemona’ is the foliage. In spring, the new leaves emerge beet-red, fade to greenish-bronze on top, and remain purple on the undersides. In late summer, golden yellow, daisy-like flowers are produced. Genus Notes - Ligularia Ligularias are bold, lush plants for a partially shaded location where the soil stays constantly moist, even soggy. They form large clumps of beautiful foliage and flowering spikes late summer. Foliage readily wilts in the afternoon sun with insufficient moisture. |
