Cultivar Notes - 'Sylvester'
An outstanding specimen plant for the partially shaded garden. Looking much like a very large white astilbe, Goat's Beard has similar foliage and feathery, creamy white flower plumes up to 1 ft. long.
Genus Notes - Aruncus
Goat's Beards are clump-forming perennials native to damp, shady woods. With their imposing height and dramatic plumes of tiny, creamy white blossoms, they are magnificent plants for the shade garden.
Goat's Beard plants and flowers resemble those of Astilbe. They prefer moist soil with partial to full shade. Tall, open plumes bloom early summer.
