Cultivar Notes -
Compacta
Aurinia is prized for its rousing display of tiny, canary yellow flowers borne in panicles just above the foliage. It forms large, prostrate mounds of silvery-green leaves. It’s especially attractive when planted on slopes or in the crevices of stone wall
Genus Notes -
Aurinia
Aurinia is better known as Basket-of-Gold because it disappears completely under a mass of golden flowers when it blooms in midspring. The same people who cringe at the sight of gold in summer, swoon over Aurinia in April, so glad that spring has finally returned.
