Cultivar Notes -
Globe Centaurea
This large perennial has globe-shaped, yellow flowers. The 3- to 4-inch flowers are suitable for cutting and are long lasting both on and off the plant.
Genus Notes -
Centaurea
Centaurea takes its name from the mythological centaurs, who were said to have used the plants medicinally. Today, gardeners grow them for their colorful, thistle-like flowers, which look right at home in an informal garden and are excellent for cutting.
