Cultivar Notes - 'Astra Semi-Double Blue'
Blue balloon shaped buds open to semi- double, star shaped flowers on dwarf, compact foliage.
Genus Notes - Platycodon
Balloon Flowers get their name from their flower buds, which inflate like balloons before splitting into large, bell-shaped blooms. Flowering begins in midsummer, with occassional repeat bloom until fall. Plants are hardy, adaptable and easy to grow. Plant in well-drained soil.
