Genus Notes - Kniphofia As their common name suggests, Red Hot Pokers have dense, bottlebrush-like spikes of tubular flowers, usually in bold shades. They put on a vibrant show above grassy foliage. Kniphofia are clump-forming perennials that prefer hot, well drained soil and need lots of sun. Use in the mid-border area. |
