Cultivar Notes - 'Sirocco'
This is the first pink grass from seed. Turns to shades of copper and pink when mature. multipurpose plant. Height of 12 inches.
Genus Notes - Stipa
The Grasses in this genus have exceptionally fine foliage and silky flowers that wave in the lightest breeze. They are spectacular in fresh and dried arrangements. Theses Grasses need well-drained soil and are quite tolerant of drought.
Series Notes - Cool Season Grasses
Cool season grasses are at their prime during the cooler months of fall, winter, and spring, and usually bloom before the warmer summer weather arrives. Many are evergreen. They will put on the most growth during these cooler months. Cool season grasses include: Calamagrostis acutiflora, Festuca, Helictotrichon, and Stipa.
