Cultivar Notes -
Alpine Rock Thyme; Alpine Calamint
Also known as Alpine Calamint, this is a seldom seen but easy-to-grow alpine or rock garden perennial. This is closely related to Thyme, forming a low cushioned mound or tuft of tiny green leaves. Clusters of bright magenta-pink to purple flowers are held on the ends of the stems for most of the summer. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Drought tolerant, ideal for alpine troughs and gravel gardens. Evergreen in mild winter regions.
