A dwarf Pincushion Flower from the Flutter series, featuring flowers that are larger and deeper blue than the popular S. ‘Butterfly Blue’. Blooms non-stop from spring through late summer. Terrific for mass planting, edging the border or in pots. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. Drought tolerant once established.
Genus Notes - Scabiosa
These varieties of Scabiosa are rugged front of the border plants with lace flowers known for attracting butterflies and a very long bloom time that lasts until frost.
Scabiosas bear multitudes of showy, disc-shaped flowers over a long period (if the spent flowers are removed). Plants require well-drained soil with a pH close to neutral.
